Our Staff

 

 Miranda Stanley RN, MSN, FNP

 

Miranda completed her nursing degree at Medcenter One College of Nursing. She worked as an intensive care nurse for five years before joining the staff at the Institute of Facial Surgery in 2006. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of North Dakota in 2010 and is currently practicing as a Nurse Practitioner at the Institute of Facial Surgery. Her interests include dermatology, a variety of laser treatments, facial aesthetics and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures including the use of neurotoxin and dermal fillers.

She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a sitting member of the North Dakota Board of Cosmetology.

 Kylie Buchholz DNP, APRN, FNP-C

 

Kylie was born and raised in Bismarck and completed her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Mary in 2017. Upon graduation, she accepted a position at Sanford Health in Bismarck on the cardiac unit. Kylie was accepted into the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at the University of Mary in 2018; at this time, Kylie also joined the Institute of Facial Surgery, working as a recovery nurse throughout graduate school, which she completed in 2021. Kylie's interests include dermatology, laser treatments, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, and facial aesthetics.

Kylie is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

 

Krystal Keidel, Esthetician

 

Krystal joined the team at the Institute of Facial Surgery in 1996 bringing with her twenty years of experience in the cosmetology and aesthetic field. She attended The Advanced Skin Care Institute in San Francisco in 1994 earning a certificate in the Advanced Study of Clinical Cosmetology and Paramedical Camouflage Techniques. She also performs special events make-up. Krystal has earned advanced certificates from PCA Skin in chemical peels, the delivery of skin rejuvenation therapy, dermaplaning, and microdermabrasion.

 Amy Larson, Registered Nurse

 

Amy obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary in 2005.  She then worked at St. Alexius Medical Center as an intensive care nurse.  She joined The Institute of Facial Surgery in 2007 as a registered nurse/surgical assistant.   She was also the Clinical Nurse Coordinator, which involved organizing and coordinating treatment plans.  In 2015, she accepted the role of Director of Nursing and Practice Manager.  She performs all of the quality improvement and educational activities for the employees of IFS.  She is the Infection Control Officer for the facility.  Amy manages accounts payable, payroll, establishes policies and procedures and maintains all aspects of AAAHC Accreditation.  She also assists Dr. Stanley and the nurses in surgery and patient care.  Amy is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  She is also certified as a Palomar laser technician and certified in PRP.

 

Brooke Ackerman, Registered Nurse

 

 

Brooke obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Viterbo University in La Crosse WI in 2020. After graduation she moved to Bismarck and accepted a position at Sanford Health in the adult intensive care unit as a registered nurse and was there for 1 year before her transition into the post anesthesia care unit. Brooke joined the Institute of Facial Surgery in February 2022 as a registered nurse. She is basic life support, advanced life support, Pediatric Life support, and stroke certified.  

 Lindsey Quellhorst, Registered Nurse

 

 

Lindsey obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Minot State University in May of 2017. She then worked as a medical/surgical nurse at Trinity Health in Minot, ND for 1.5 years and as a post anesthesia care unit (PACU) nurse for another 1.5 years. She moved to Bismarck in 2020 to work in the post anesthesia care unit at Sanford Health for another 1.5 years. Lindsey joined The Institute of Facial surgery in June of 2022 as a registered nurse. She is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  

 

 Karla Johnson, Certified Surgical Technician

 

 

Karla received her training as a Certified Surgical Technician at Presentation College in Aberdeen South Dakota. She has 30  years of operating room experience as well as eighteen years of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Karla is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support as well as Pediatric Advanced  Life Support.

 

 

 Sara Krupinsky, Financial Coordinator

 

Sara joined the Institute of Facial Surgery in March 2014. She has over 9 years experience working with insurance, billing, and coding. She handles all financial aspects of the practice including financial arrangements and insurance billing. Sara earned her Associate Degree in Applied Science specializing in Information Processing from Bismarck State College.

 Chelisa Ridl, Financial Coordinator

 

Chelisa joined our office in the summer of 2021.  She was born and raised in Dickinson, ND and graduated from DHS in 2013. She went on to work as a Treatment Coordinator for a dental office in Dickinson. Her passion for assisting others with their dental and medical needs influenced her decision to further expand her knowledge by joining our team. She came to our office with over 6 years of experience in dental insurance, billing, and treatment coordinating.
